How to get your business online
Now we will replace the generic meaningless words. What you replace them with is obviously up to you. Now we will go into great detail about writing high quality web content in later sections but for now you just want to write something short, sweet and riddled with appropriate phrases about your business and product range that will give the search engines something to index.
I would suggest deleting all but the first paragraph. We will expand upon it and deal with the picture shortly.
Right click on all but the top picture and select delete.
Highlight in the usual way the whole bottom paragraph including the title, press delete on the keyboard to rub out the paragraph. Then press backspace once to move up to the next paragraph. Repeat this process to delete all but the top paragraph. Now do the same with the right hand column. Again just leave the top paragraph.
Now we can get down to what your going to write. Obviously the words you use are up to you and will be very specific to your business. As I mentioned previously we will thoroughly explore writing for the web and how to impress both human and search engine visitors later. For now just make sure that your writing mentions at least a few times the products, you are going to sell, the name of your business and the industry and closely related topics. I have made an example for you below using teddy bears as an example. Don't forget to change the title, 'Here is the main content' as well.
Have a look at my example below. You get the idea? Don't worry too much about how long it is. A fairly brief set of pages will fulfill the objectives we discussed at the beginning of this section.
Don't forget to replace the right hand column text as well, including the header, 'sidebar'. You could replace the, 'sidebar' text with 'More Info' or something similar. If you are already trading off-line then this is an ideal place to put name address and phone number. If not you could put any information you like here. For example your guarantee information or your great customer service policy. It really is not to important at this stage. What is important is establishing a presence on the web asap!

Now we need to make the links at the top of the page more meaningful. You need to chose what information to put on these pages. A couple of suggestions could be a more in depth overview of your products, featured products, company or contact information, technical information. Obviously what you use will depend upon your business.
Highlight the text for 'Page 2' and change it to the new title 'The Teddies' or just 'Products' or whatever you think is important and relevant for your business. Choose some thing to replace the text for, 'Page 3' and save your work
What to do with the picture
What you do with the picture is up to you. You could edit the picture in the images folder of your web site template. For now if you are unsure how to change it I would simply delete it. I will go into great detail about how to use the included photo editing software in the section when we set up your shop.
To delete the picture click on it and then press delete on your keyboard. So that's the first page done. Select: file > save. Now what?
Creating the other 2 pages
Select: file > save as and type 'page2.html' in the drop down box labeled, 'file name'. Press the save button and now we have 2 pages. Do the same again only this time make the file name 'page3.html'. Now you have your 3 pages.
Of course you need to change the text on page2.html and page3.html to something different to the home page. Clearly this will be based upon what you used as the title that you chose when changing the link text earlier. Select: file > open file and select page2.html from the list. Enter appropriate text, save it, now open up, page3.html and do the same for that page.
